The Heiress

I am currently in Florida taking in the (very much needed) sunshine just for a few days, and in the airport I found this book to read on my flight. I love it! It's quick, suspenseful, and I love how there are many different layers and stories between characters. I have not felt bored reading this at all (sometimes I can lose interest if I find the book a bit slow….) and I recommend it if you’re looking for a new book to dive into for a weekend or before you fall asleep!

This may not work for everyone, but this is what I use :)

All programs have journal prompts and recommended music playlists to lead you to create a stronger relationship with yourself on and off of the mat. Enjoy exploring your mind and body.
Just like I would write a love letter to my partner, I love to write one to myself, even if it's just a few lines.
What are your small, simple ways you show yourself love?
What creates joy within you, for you?
For me simple rituals that I have adapted into my life are writing, making my morning coffee (or exploring new coffee shops) and moving my body.
I don’t have to travel far for these simple acts that can change my mindset, uplift my mood or even just remind me that time with myself (my mind and body) is a gift that I really want to cherish in little ways daily.
I don’t put pressure on myself when it comes to journalling.
I have my journal and pen by my bed or near my couch, when I sip my morning coffee it feels almost like a habit to reach for it and write. This happens 3-4 times a week and I freely write how I'm feeling or what comes to mind.
I remember falling in love with journaling all over again when I was really wanting/needing to reconnect with myself. It just felt so damn good writing out my thoughts (even though that's not always easy) and writing mylife, for me, by me.
What brings you peace?

What allows you to feel most YOU, that you can be your authentic self?
Whatever it is, implement it into your week, as a way to touch base with yourself.
I’m 53 and have been active my whole life. The last few years, I’ve been contending with all the changes that accompany perimenopause which made me feel no longer at home in my own body. It’s been a journey to work with myself instead of feeling at odds with me.
I enjoy working out at home and have tried at least 5 different online programs to stay fit and healthy. I was lucky to find yours last year and put it in my rotation. But after just a few sessions, I realized that no other program came even close to BBM in terms of how strong and sleek and uplifted I felt when working out with you!
For this last year, you have become part of a treasured daily ritual that includes meditation and a hilly walk. It’s a gift I learned to give myself and I realize I need this every day. Your combination of challenge and grace prepares me to be strong in body and spirit for whatever the day will bring. You literally kick my ass and lift my heart daily! :))
Not every day is perfect but I commit to show up, and that small act has built on itself. I have learned I can come a little empty or tired because I know I won’t leave the mat that way. You bring joy and light when I don’t have it! A day that starts with you means I will feel a little bit stronger on the inside, walk a little taller and feel like I have done all I can to support myself.
I am so glad I found you and BBM — thank you so so much for all you do.
Here are just a few of the things I love about BBM:
- The Weekly schedule is well curated and I don’t have to think about what to do, I can follow your lead.
- Working out anywhere is never a problem, because so many of your workouts need, as you say, “absolutely nothing!” I can travel and keep up my habits easily.
- My body feels SO challenged, but not under stress. cues are so clear, I don’t even have to watch the video, I can close my eyes, really feel what’s happening and keep going. I’ve noticed a much deeper connection inside as a result.
